The Air Force Network migration team will begin migrating MHAFB supported computers into the Air Force Network (AFNet) beginning May 13.

Computer migrations typically occur between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, and users should review the Migration User Guidelines for information specifically concerning "Phase 1 - Computer Migrations."

Computers are typically switched during the first two weeks of the migration. Individual user/organizational e-mail accounts are migrated in blocks and typically occur during the evening and weekend hours. Users will be notified of specific dates and times with a yellow eAdvisory at 72 hours prior and a red eAdvisory 24 hours prior to their computer and email accounts being migrated.

Please refer to the AFNet Migration Tool Kit for the most current updates, information and migration related advisories.

In preparation for the migration:

· If planning to leave the office before the computer migration process executes, save all work and logoff prior to leaving. Ensure your workstation is powered on during your scheduled migration period. Upon return, reboot the computer
· If remaining in the office during the computer migration process, users should begin saving/ closing all work approximately 10 minutes prior, to complete before an automatic reboot occurs)
· Continue practicing good information management, and reduce the size of your mailbox by moving older E-mails to locally stored personal folders. Accounts exceeding size limits cannot be migrated, and will be unable to send or receive messages
· Read and keep all migration related information and previous eAdvisories. Look for communications focal point-generated emails outlining schedule changes or specific user instructions and actions.
· Read and download a copy of "Migration User Guidelines".

For computer or network related problems or questions, call the communications focal point at (208) 828-2666.
