AAFES senior enlisted advisor visits MHAFB, speaks with Gunfighters

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho --  Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, Army and Air Force Exchange Service’s senior enlisted advisor, visited here Sept. 18-19.

During his visit, Reyes toured Exchange facilities and met with Col. Matthew Sandelier, 366th Fighter Wing deputy commander for support, to discuss how the Exchange can better serve Airmen and families.

“Since 1895, the Exchange has provided a lifeline to America’s service members and their families,” Reyes said. “The Exchange is family serving family. Whether supporting troops downrange or here at Mountain Home, the Exchange is there to serve them.”

Reyes said that he takes time to visit with Airmen to gain insight and fresh perspectives that he can take back with him to help make better decisions and further improve the Exchange.

Also during his visit Reyes conducted a town hall to listen to concerns and received feedback from Gunfighters.

Reyes emphasized the importance of receiving feedback to aid in creating an even better Exchange experience for Airmen and families.

“Last year, the Mountain Home Exchange generated more than $383,000 on behalf of quality-of-life programs,” Reyes said. “Every time Airmen shop their Exchange they make Mountain Home a better place to live and work.”

Town hall participants expressed their appreciation to AAFES leadership for coming to MHAFB to hear their concerns.

“It’s fantastic anytime we can get someone from our senior leadership to visit,” said Arturo Garcia, General Manager at the Mountain Home Exchange. “We get honest feedback from them and in return they listen to any issues or concerns we may have. We really appreciate that.”

Reyes thanked Exchange associates for their dedicated service.
