Colonel Geoffrey D. Dawson

Colonel Geoffrey D. Dawson is the 366th Mission Support Group Commander, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. He maintains five combat-ready squadrons with a diverse group of personnel. Provides communications, security, engineering, services, supply, fuels, transportation, and mobility support to the 366 FW, including three flying squadrons and 4,000 base personnel.  In wartime, provides all elements to deploy to bare base environments, establish infrastructure, and support air operations.

Colonel Dawson is a 1998 graduate of the University of Kansas and earned his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. He has previously commanded at the squadron and detachment level providing weather operations in support of Air Force and Army forces worldwide. His staff assignments include service at Headquarters Air Force and United States Air Forces in Europe. He has deployed multiple times including service in Iraq and Bosnia. Prior to his current position, Colonel Dawson was the Deputy Director, Enterprise Information Technology within the Office of the Department of the Air Force’s Chief Information Officer.
