Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 trains at Mountain Home Air Force Base

The Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron (VMFAT) 501 deployed to Mountain home Air Force Base to conduct flight training for 21 student pilots flying the F-35B Lightning II aircraft. The goal is to advance the pilots through 1000 level Training & Readiness manual sorties. MHAFB has a range complex that offers 9,600 square miles of airspace to train.
