Colonel (Dr.) Andrew (Andy) E. Moore is Commander of the 366th Medical Group at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. He leads a full service 10-bed community-based hospital operated by 397 military and civilian members across four squadrons. The 366th MDG provides comprehensive health care to more than 3,000 active duty and Air National Guard airmen and a total of 24,000 beneficiaries. He directs a 151 million dollars enterprise and oversees over 88 million dollars in medical budget, material, and contracts to support the 366th Fighter Wing and combatant commanders.
Col Moore is a practicing orthopaedic surgeon, flight surgeon, and Assistant Professor of Surgery at USUHS. He is a combat veteran with multiple deployments to Iraq and Bosnia. He additionally maintains affiliation with Yale University's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Moore is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeon, a Certified Physician Executive, a Chief Flight Surgeon, and served on the Executive Board of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. Prior to his current assignment he was the Commander of the 779th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, which supports NORTHCOM and JTF-CS DSCA/DCRF contingencies.
