  • Fighter Squadrons compete in a Quarterly Load Crew, Dedicated Crew Chief and Jammer Vehicle competition

    On, July 9, 2021, three competitions occurred on base: A Quarterly Load Crew (QLC) competition, a Dedicated Crew Chief (DCC) competition and a Jammer vehicle competition. Each competition is between the three Fighter Squadrons (FS) 391st FS, 389th FS and 428th FS. The QLC competition tests load crews from each squadron on their skill and speed on loading ammunition to an aircraft. The DCC competition tests the dedicated crew chief and assistant crew chief on their knowledge of the aircraft, the effectiveness of team dynamics, their organization and form documentation. Lastly, the Jammer Vehicle competition tests the driver’s skill in operating the vehicle.

  • 428TH FS supports local schools amidst COVID-19, distributes face coverings

    As COVID-19 challenges continue, Mountain Home School District facilities cautiously begin to reopen their doors. Approximately 4,000 students are expected to flood the halls later this year. A major concern is supplying masks for students. The Republic of Singapore Air Force 428TH Fighter Squadron has come to the rescue. Lt. Col. Shewan Goh and Lt. Col. Nicholas Jurewicz, senior ranking officer and commander of the 428TH FS, respectively, and other officials distributed face coverings to the Mountain Home School District, Aug. 6, 2020.
  • 428th FS Gunfighters participate in and win Red Flag exercise March 22 at Nellis AFB

    Long hours on the job in a high-demand environment make for a brutal work-pace that brings about sleep deprivation and mental fatigue. Eighty fighter jets are constantly being armed, tediously inspected and ripping through the sky, leaving a trail of thunder, during the world’s premiere air-to-air combat exercise - This is Red Flag. The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s 428th Fighter Squadron is one of the participants at Red Flag at Nellis Air Force Base, NV, the week of March 17.

  • 428th Fighter Squadron holds change of appointment ceremony

    The 428th Fighter Squadron held a change of appointment ceremony for the squadron’s command chief here, Dec. 29. The Republic of Singapore Air Force ME-4 Tan Eng Ann, 428th FS command chief, passed command to ME-3 Tan Thiam Chye Gene.
  • 428th Fighter Squadron participates in Combat Hammer

    The Republic of Singapore Air Force participated in Combat Hammer last week at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Combat Hammer is an exercise that evaluates weapons systems in their entirety— from the loading to the delivery of the munitions.
