  • 428th FS finishes Red Flag 21-2, adapts to new challenges

    For 46 years, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and Soldiers from around the globe have congregated at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, for the U.S. Air Force’s most premier combat training exercise, Red Flag. For 39 of those years, the Republic of Singapore has strengthened their joint force capabilities by integrating with the U.S. Air Force. Mountain Home AFB’s 428th Fighter Squadron successfully completed Red Flag 21-2; allowing RSAF Airmen to practice air-to-air combat over the Nevada Test and Training range.

    The 428th Fighter Squadron’s Peace Carvin V is participating in exercise Red Flag 21-2, March 8 - 19, 2021 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Red Flag is an advanced combat aerial training scenario designed to refine capabilities of military aircrew by offering a realistic training environment. This exercise includes approximately 1,900 targets, realistic threat systems and aircraft from the 64th Aggressor Squadron who replicate near-peer adversary tactics.
  • 428th Fighter Squadron holds change of appointment ceremony

    The 428th Fighter Squadron held a change of appointment ceremony for the squadron’s command chief here, Dec. 29. The Republic of Singapore Air Force ME-4 Tan Eng Ann, 428th FS command chief, passed command to ME-3 Tan Thiam Chye Gene.
