The days are getting shorter with the holiday season just around the corner, but winter also means potential snow and icy conditions during our daily commute. This can lead to delayed reporting or closures depending on how bad the conditions become. In addition to AtHoc, we also have a Twitter-based notification system, used exclusively for emergency weather updates about Mountain Home AFB, that anyone can use. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Snow falls on static aircraft on display at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, Jan. 28, 2013. Repairs and maintenance due to winter weather-related damages have already cost the civil engineers 10 percent of their annual budget, said John Bialke, 366th Civil Engineer Squadron deputy commander.
