    The base library holds nearly 40,000 items that can provide numerous benefits for Airmen and their families, ranging from education, creativity, entertainment and more.

    366th Security Forces Squadron Supports New Parents

    The Air Force dubbed 2019 as “Year of the Defender” for security forces members. The 366th Security Forces Squadron was so excited about this announcement, they decided to grow their numbers - and not in the traditional sense. Twenty-one babies were born this year within the squadron, giving birth to the new title: “Year of the Baby Defender.”

    Chiefs' group at MHAFB start Airmen Outreach Initiative

    Joining the military comes with quite a few challenges. You are in a new environment, meeting new people and trying to learn a new job. There are times when your family isn’t a phone call away. Despite all of the new obstacles, Airmen don’t have to do it alone. Chiefs here have made taking care of their Airmen a top priority by starting the Airmen Outreach Initiative.

    Enlisted Airman Competes for Team USA in 2019 CISM Military World Games

    Airman 1st Class Michael Yoo, 366th Maintenance Squadron avionics backshop technician from Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, recently returned from his first swim competition on a world stage. He was the youngest and only enlisted member from a team of 14 service members from all branches of the Department of Defense on the U.S. swim team to compete at the 2019 CISM Military World Games.

    Civic Leaders Invited to Tour MHAFB

    Running an Air Force base without the support of the local community can be incredibly difficult. To build upon the trust Gunfighters have already established, the 366th Fighter Wing held a civic leader tour, Nov. 7, 2019. Officials from Mountain Home and Boise were invited to come on base and visit different squadrons to see what the Gunfighters’ day-to-day job looks like.

    Gunfighter Airmen give back to community through basketball

    MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho – It’s always good to have Airmen who set their eyes on giving back. Senior Airman Aarien Foster, 366th Equipment Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance journeyman, used his passion for basketball and skills as a leader to start a basketball program in order to bring the Gunfighter community together. Foster launched the plan to assemble a team after arriving to Mountain Home AFB and learning they didn’t have one.

    366th MTF leads the way; MHAFB teaches MAJCOM medics TCCC

    The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Tactical Combat Casualty Care course was adopted by MHAFB medics back in February 2019. It was then adapted into a condensed version that has since become the standard medical course for all Airmen in the 366th Fighter Wing.

    366 MXS protects AF assets through ingenuity

    MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho – Repairs on aircraft are conducted with efficiency to maintain mission readiness and ensure rapid mobility. Two Airmen from the 366th Maintenance Squadron used their skills and ingenuity to craft a repair item, called a spar, designed for an F-15E Strike Eagle’s wing, Sept. 30, 2019. Aircraft structural mechanics from Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, inspected the aircraft and after finding a wing deficiency, declared a need for a repair.

    Gunfighter Airman to compete in 2019 World Military Games

    The saying goes ‘when you aren’t training, someone else is’. So when it comes to being the best at anything, it requires consistent dedication and sacrifice to maintain a competitive advantage. That hard work is starting to pay off for one Gunfighter. The 15 best swimmers in the Department of Defense have earned the opportunity to compete in the swimming component of the 2019 World Military Games. The youngest of the team is U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael Yoo, 366th Maintenance Squadron avionics backshop technician, from Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

    Security Forces holds assessment for the Emergency Services Team

    From law enforcement to combat tactics, Security Forces go through extensive training to learn their job. The 366th Security Forces Squadron has different teams for which personnel can try out; one of them being the Emergency Services Team (EST).
