Base officials release annual water report

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- The 366th Aerospace Medicine Squadron bioenvironmental engineering flight has released the 2015 Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report.

This report is a summary of water quality during the 2015 calendar year. Included are details about where base water comes from, what it contains and how it compares to Environmental Protection Agency and state standards.

Last year, the bioenvironmental engineering flight conducted more than 200 tests for approximately 30 contaminants. Five contaminates were dectected; however, the concentration levels were well below the EPA’s standards and did not pose a threat to public health. Section VI, Level of Detected Contaminants, in the report gives detailed information on this topic.

Hard copies of this report can be obtained at front desk of the base library, child development center, base gym, base dining facility and waiting areas throughout the base hospital. An electronic copy can also be found here. The report will not be mailed to individual homes or consumers.
