MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Senior leaders with the 428th Fighter Squadron and 428th Aircraft Maintenance Unit recently selected the following individuals as their warriors of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base.

Republic of Singapore air force Capt. Peter Liow

Unit and duty title: 428th Fighter Squadron Intelligence and Security liaison and an F-15SG Instructor Weapon Systems Officer

Time in Air Force: 10 years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: six months

Hometown: Singapore

Hobbies: Diving and traveling

What service does Captain Liow provide to the Gunfighters? Captain Liow is the primary liaison between the 366th FW Security and Intelligence agencies and the 428th FS Buccaneers. As a member of the prestigious inaugural group of F-15SG Instructor WSOs, Capt Liow is responsible for developing and training the second generation of F-15SG pilots and WSOs for his country.

Most memorable Air Force moment. "First Red Flag - have you ever seen so many aircraft in one piece of sky?"

Interesting personal fact: "I was once a member of the Republic of Singapore navy"

Why does Captain Liow deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Captain Liow has demonstrated superior motivation, exceptional aviation skills and a singular devotion to duty as an officer and representative of the Republic of Singapore armed forces. As the project officer for the Peace Carvin V Inauguration Ceremony on Nov 19, Captain Liow's peerless organizational skills will ensure a flawless ceremony featuring the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore and the Secretary of the United States Air Force. A true warrior and leader!"

What service does Sergeant Tan provide to the Gunfighters? Sergeant Tan performs a combination of weapons loading and aircraft crew chief duties on the F-15SG aircraft.

Most memorable Air Force moment. Sergeant Tan was the team lead for the 428th AMU Weapons Load Crew, participating for the first time and winning the Wing Quarterly Load Competition. This coveted award is a testament of his leadership skills, drive and determination.

Interesting personal fact: "My birth date is Nov. 9 (11/9), coincidentally my wedding anniversary is Sept. 11 (9/11) so I just have to reverse the dates. I will never forget my anniversary because of this."

Why does Sergeant Tan deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Tan's diverse background in weapons loading has contributed to the solid foundation in bed down of the 428th AMU and contributed to the interoperability between RSAF and USAF units at Mountain Home AFB."
