What service does Staff Sgt. Wharton provide to the Gunfighters? He maintains water and wastewater systems, natural gas lines and fire suppression systems.

Most memorable Air Force moment? "My second deployment that was almost eight months long. I was a structures augmentee."

Interesting personal fact: "I joined the military weighing 120 pounds. I'm now buff and I weigh 170 pounds. Thank you deployments!"

Why does Staff Sgt. Wharton deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Wharton exemplifies what it takes to be an NCO. After graduating from Airmen Leadership School, Sergeant Wharton has jumped right in as a supervisor mentoring troops. He takes lead of assignments and welcomes new challenges."
