Red Flag
MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- A F-15E Strike Eagle from the 389th Fighter Squadron lands here Jan. 26 after the successful completion of Red Flag at Nellis AFB, Nev. Red Flag is a two-week, multi-national, advanced aerial combat training exercise that takes place at only two bases in the Air Force: Nellis AFB and Eielson AFB, Alaska. Participants played as opposing teams that faced-off in realistic combat situations to improve their ability to target and defeat hostile air, surface-to-air, space and information threats from enemies. MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Six F-15Es from the 391st Fighter Squadron fly in formation over the skies of Texas during a Presidential support mission. 100 Airmen from Mountain Home, 13 security forces Airmen from Dyess AFB, Texas, and seven jets from the 391st Fighter Squadron deployed to Robert Gray Army Airfield at Fort Hood, Texas, as part of Operation Noble Eagle. Gunfighters, community members celebrate Air Force’s 60th anniversary
MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- F-15C Eagles and F-15E Strike Eagles kick off the 60th anniversary celebration here Sept. 14 with an opening fly over. Local community members joined Gunfighters to celebrate the Air Force’s heritage from noon to 6 p.m. Events included a short demonstration with an A-10 Hercules and P-51 Mustang, military working dog demonstrations, munitions loads and the fire department’s wall of water demonstration.
