What service does Airman 1st Class Stackens provide to the Gunfighters? Stakens provides calibration support to over 70 work centers on MHAFB and the surrounding Northwest military bases. His support spans across a wide variety of specialties to include support of three aircraft maintenance units, two of our Gunfighter units and one from our Singaporean allies. He also provides vital support to our communication squadron ensuring a steady flow of critical information. The most important service that Stakens provides to our Gunfighters is assuring bombs stay on target.

Most memorable Air Force moment? My most memorable Air Force moment would have to be when I sat down for breakfast with Col. James P. Dutton, who is a NASA astronaut. As a kid, when asked the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" It was usually answered with, "I want to be an astronaut." Having the opportunity to sit with an astronaut, ask personal questions and receive firsthand feedback was an amazing moment in my career.

Interesting personal fact: I have been doing professional photography for five years.

Why does Airman 1st Class Stackens deserve to be a warrior of the week? Stakens has been an extremely important asset to the test measurement and diagnostic equipment flight. He has shown an exceptional understanding of metrology principles and the ability to put them to use. This was apparent by his score of 89 percent on his first end-of-course exam. He has also shown dedication to the Air Force and the local community by spending time at a local science fair explaining metrology principle to junior high students and volunteering for a retreat ceremony to show his respect for the American flag. Stakens is turning out to be a very well rounded Airman and a valuable asset to the Gunfighter family.
