9/9/2010 - MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Candidate's rank and name: MSgt Charlotte Kelly

Unit and duty title: 366 Communications Squadron, FW COMSEC Manager

Time in Air Force: 20 years 5 months 16 days

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 13 years

Hometown [city and state]: Bellingham Washington

Hobbies: Fishing

What service does MSgt Kelly provide to the Gunfighters? I provide cryptographic keymat and secure voice capabilities to units.

Most memorable Air Force moment: Deploying to Al Udeid AB Qatar in September of 2001. The Gunfighters were the first on the ground there and we built the original base.

Interesting personal fact: I rode a bull in a rodeo while stationed in Korea. Longest ride: 4 seconds.

Why does MSgt Kelly deserve to be a warrior of the week?

MSgt Kelly's successful career and dedication to the Air Force is reflected in her day to day work and support to her customers. Her efforts with the 428th RSAF to maintain accountability of assets, following the rules of multiple agencies, is often unnoticed. Her position is not a visible job by many, but the individuals who interact with her appreciate everything she does.
