Services
Radiology provides 24-hour plain x-ray service to include on-call staff after duty hours.
Fluoroscopy, ultrasound and computed tomography studies are available during normal duty hours by appointment.
Computed tomography (CT scan) is offered during normal duty hours.
Magnetic resonance imaging availability is shared with the Boise Veterans Hospital on a monthly rotating schedule and available through appointment during normal duty hours.
If your condition warrants and services are unavailable to meet those needs, an urgent or STAT consult will be placed by your attending provider to be accomplished through the network in Mountain Home, Boise area or Twin Falls.

Referrals or Consults
Tricare Consult Guidelines for medical care outside of Mountain Home Air Force Base.To make sure your health care records and test results are returned to your PCM, follow these two steps:
1. When you receive your referral authorization letter, call the provider and schedule your appointment. Allow 10 business days to receive the letter; however, it is usually available online at www.triwest.com within a few business days.
2. After you make your appointment, call TriWest at 1-866-876-2383. You will be prompted to provide the following information:
- You may select another network provider of the same "specialty" if you wish to see a provider other than the one named in your authorization letter. You can view the network providers on the directory at www.triwest.com.
-T rack the status of your authorizations and referrals online by registering at www.triwest.com, you can view and print out your consult within a few business days after entered by your PCM.
What if you have cancelled or changed your appointment?
Call TriWest at 1-866-876-2383 to update the referral.
