Colonel David I. Stamps

Colonel David I. Stamps is the 366th Operations Group Commander, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. As the commander, he overseas the planning, organizing, training and equipping of military and civilian members conducting flying operations for the F-15E Strike Eagle and Singaporean F-15SG aircraft. The group includes five squadrons responsible for operations, intelligence, weapons training, airfield services, executes airspace and range schedule for more than 20,000 flying hours and 13,000 sorties annually. It also maintains combat readiness for short-notice worldwide taskings and contingency operations.


Col Stamps completed Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, AL in 2000. He has served as a Chief of Combat Plans, Flight Commander, Chief of Weapons and Tactics, Assistant Director of Operations, USSTRATCOM J5 Strategic Planner, Squadron Commander, and HAF A3 Director of Staff. He has flown a variety of aircraft ranging from the T-34, T-1, T-39, T-38, and F-15E. Col Stamps has over 2000 flight hours, 463 of which are combat.
